How to convert 2D Drawing into 3D Drawing Command


Open 2D Drawing and change the view of drawing to isometric like NE, NW, SE, SW view, And, after this you can specify height to than 2D  drawing.


VIEW PORT
Using this command you can an object in different view as-top, bottom,left, front, back, SE isometric, SW isometric, NE isometric, NW isometric view.

   -  Select command ( view > view port )
   -  Select view-port like 1, 2, 3, 4
   -  Choose horizontal or vertical
   -  Now, change the view in all view-port according to your requirement.

EXTRUDE
Using this command you can specify height to any 2D poly-line drawing. And after this you can convert any 2D drawing into solid object.

   -  Select command extrude
   -  Select poly-line to extrude
   -  Enter
   -  Specify height
   -  Enter

BOX
Using this command you directly create 3D box by specifying

   -  Select command
   -  Click on first point from where you have to create box.
   -  Now, press L to specify length of the box.
   -  Then specify width and height of the box

PRESS PULL
Using this command yu can specify height to any closed boundary either of line or poly-line. Also, you can increase or decrease height by selecting the face of 3D solid.

   -  Select command
   -  Click inside the boundary
   -  Specify height.
   -  Enter

UNION
Using this command you can combine two or object and become single body.

   -  Select command union
   -  Select both object
   -  Enter

SUBTRACT
Using this command you can subtract one body from another body either in 2D or 3D

   -  Select command subtract
   -  Select body from which you have to subtract another body.
   -  Enter
   -  Select body that has to subtract
   -  Enter

INTERSECT
Using this command you can create command part of tow object

   -  Select command intersect
   -  Select both object
   -  Enter

RENDER
Using this command you can apply material from material browser, and light.

   -  Select command
   -  Click on material browser
   -  Now, select 3D object to apply material and click on (up) Arrow.

SWEEP
Using this command you can create tube like structure, create thread, 3D strings etc.

   -  Firstly, you can make path that has to create 3D.
   -  Now, create profile of that shape that has to create structure.
   -  Select command
   -  Select path to be followed
   -  Enter
   -  Select profile that has to create 3D structure,

REVOLVE
Using this command you can create that type of object which looks like circular from top view and of some profile from front view. Through this you can create pot, hinge, shaft and different type of bolts etc. In this, you make half structure and you can create full structure from this command.

   -  Firstly, make profile according to your requirement
   -  Select command revolve
   -  Select profile that has to revolve
   -  Enter
   -  Specify axis that should parallel to the profile
   -  Specify angle of revolving as 60, 270, 360
   -  Enter

LOFT 
Using this command you can create 3D object using two or more profile (Poly-line). Though this you can create tunnel shape, blower etc.

   -  Firstly, make tow or more profiles at some distance in z-axis.
   -  Now, select command loft
   -  Select all profiles for loft
   -  Enter
   -  Enter

CAMERA
Using this command you can create camera and show the inner view of any 3D object. Used to show the inner view after applying roof.

   -  Select command(View > create camera)
   -  Fix camera according to your requirement
   -  Enter
   -  Now, to see through camera, click on camera
   -  To exit, press esc

SLICE
Using this command you can remove a par of object that is specified through axis of a solid body.

   -  Select command slice
   -  Select object to slice
   -  Enter
   -  Specify axis to divide the object
   -  Click opposite to your desired part.

SECTION
Using this command you can divide a solid body in two parts according to your specified axis.

   -  Select command slice
   -  Select object to section
   -  Enter
   -  Specify axis to divide
   -  Enter

3D MOVE
Using this command you can move a 3D object by dragging its axes or by specifying points.

3D ROTATE
Using this command you rotate a 3D object along with its axis.

3D CHAMFER
Using this command you can chamfer a 3D object by specifying its distance

   -  Select command
   -  Select edge of the object that has to chamfer
   -  Click on distance in command bar
   -  Specify distance
   -  Enter
   -  Enter

3D FILLET
Using this command you can fillet the edge 3D object.

   -  Select command
   -  Select edge of the object that has to fillet
   -  Specify radius
   -  Enter
   -  Enter

EXTRUDE FACE
Using this command you can extrude face of a solid body by specifying height and taper angle.

Using this command you can create tomb like structure.

   -  Select command
   -  Select face to extrude
   -  Enter
   -  Specify height to extrude
   -  Enter
   -  Specify taper angle
   -  En

ROTATE FACE
Using this command you can rotate a face at a specified angle about specified axis

   -  Select command rotate face
   -  Select face to rotate
   -  Enter
   -  Specify axis about which you have to rotate face
   -  Enter
   -  Specify angle to rotate
   -  Enter

MOVE FACE
Using this command you can move a face of hollow object but in solid body the face will increase according to specify distance.

   -  Select command
   -  Select face to move
   -  Specify base point to move
   -  Then, specify distance
   -  Enter

TAPER FACE
Using this command you can rotate face along with is specified axis at specified angle.

   -  Select angle.
   -  Select Command
   -  Select a face that has to rotate
   -  Specify axis
   -  Specify angle

OFFSET FACE
Using this command you can increase of selected face

   -  Select command
   -  Select Face to offset
   -  Enter
   -  Specify height
   -  Enter

COLOR FACE
Using this command you can specify different color to different selected face.

   -  Select command
   -  Select face of a solid body to color
   -  Enter
   -  Choose color
   -  Enter

SHELL
Using this command you can convert a solid body into hollow body of specified thickness.

   -  Select command
   -  Select object to shell
   -  Then, select face to remove
   -  Enter
   -  Specify thickness that has to remain
   -  Enter

UCS (user coordinate system)
Using this you can create any 2D and then 3D on that face where you want. There are different type of UCS which are used according to your requirement.
UCS Command

                                                         >  FACE UCS <
This command is used to create body on face

   -  Select command
   -  Select face on which you to create body 
   -  Enter

                                                       >  3-POINT UCS <
Using this command you can set coordinates as your convenience

   -  Select command
   -  Select face on which you have to create body
   -  Specify the direction of x, y and z axis respectively


                     >  X-COORDINATE, Y-COORDINATE, Z- COORDINATE <
Using these commands you can change the direction of other coordinates keeping x, y and z-coordinate constant respectively.

                                                   >  WORLD UCS <
Using this command you can set UCS as normal earlier.

RASTER IMAGE REFERENCE
Using this command you can insert any jpg image on a 3D object..

   -  Set FACE UCS on that face where you has to insert image
   -  Go to insert menu
   -  Select raster image reference
   -  Select picture
   -  Click on from insert dialogue box
   -  Specify scale

HYPERLINK 
Using this command you can link other auto-cad file with this file.

   -  Go to insert menu
   -  Select hyperlink
   -  Select object to which you have to link another file
   -  Chose file
   -  Now, you can open the another file by directly pressing CTRL+CLICK ON THAT OBJECT TO WHICH YOU HAVE LINKED THE FILE

FIELD
Using this command you can insert date. URL of any other auto-cad file etc in the current drawing.
Through this you can directly open that file by clicking on that URL.

OLE OBJECT 
Using this command you can file other format as word, excel etc which supports dwg. File

LAYOUT
Using this you can show different views of model in jpg or pdf or any other format.

   -  Select layout
   -  Double click in that layout
   -  Select view port according to your requirement
   -  Now print this by using plot command.

PLOT
Using this command you can change an auto-cad drawing into other format as jpg, pdf, etc.

   -  Select command (file>plot)
   -  Choose plotter type jpg
   -  Choose window from display bar
   -  Select drawing that has to show as jpg
   -  Enter
   -  Choose fit to paper and center to plot
   -  Click on ok
   -  Now, save the file

QUICK PROPERTIES
Using this you check different properties of any object by selecting them

   -  Right click on it
   -  Select quick properties
